If you played 1 and 2 then you've probably already purchased 3. If you're on the fence about it, do not be. Anyone who has rated this game less than a 8 has clearly not played anymore than 5 minutes of it.
The actual shooting mechanics are still great and I love the blindfiring. Unlike most games this generation where you have no choice but to take cover every three seconds I actually find myself leaving cover and using the melee system frequently in lieu of taking cover. The storyline is character driven, the puzzles are good, and the gameplay is awesome. The single player campaign is phenomenal and filled with easily the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. I am completely addicted to the multiplayer and that is a rare feat as so far only MW2 was able to keep me entertained for a couple of weeks.
